ATM Premium

New Consumer Report

Business: ATM Premium (PDF Group Pty Ltd)

I was once marketed to by a company called PDF Group Pty Ltd, but never went ahead. Recently I was referred by a friend of mine to ATM-Premium (www.atm-premium.com), a company that has ties to Horse Racing and investment.

It didn’t click for a while, but when I revisited the ATM Premium site the slogan felt so recognisable to me “Welcome To ATM Premium Australia’s Premier Horse Racing Authority And Membership Company”. Turns out, I saw the same slogan on the PDF Group website. You can verify this by a quick Google Search (see below). I would be very wary as the PDF Group website has been shut down and there are many complaints about the companies past performance.

  2. same has happened to me. Promised great returns based on 8 years of history. joined a couple of months ago and their recommended bets have been very poor, in fact, you loose less money by not betting…and to make this worse my betting account as been suspended by the betting agency pending an investigation into ATM, so no access to your money…stay well clear of this company and any others that offer get rich betting schemes….they don’t exist.

    • Mick, if it’s within 3 months and you paid via credit card – check out your banks dispute information online and contact your bank and put in a credit card dispute. Reasons being a scam and/or goods not as described. The bank may need more information from you but it’s worth a shot.

  3. I also “invested” a few months ago and after about 1 month and poor trades realised it was a scam (plus seeing a news story about horse racing scams on the news). I actually put a dispute claim through my credit card company based on the fact they were a scam and goods were not as described. The bank refunded my money however ATM then disputed this. The bank decided to take this on and so far have not had any news back so I am hoping it has been successful.

If it is within 3 months of you investing I would strongly recommend contacting your bank and disputing the transaction if possible. Also, perhaps make a complaint through Scamwatch and ACCC and see if they can do anything. I found that any company via telemarketing should provide a cooling off period and if they haven’t, the cooling off period is extended to 6 months.

  4. Hi, do not think their track record is legimate. Reasons:
1.their records show 1-2 bets per Sat, since joining ATM recommend 3-4 bets.
    2. The recommended betting results since I joined is less than 50% compared to the brochure.
    3. “Place” bets often don’t come in.

Though I did ask ATM prior to joining if the results for the last year (as display), were s true reflection of their betting, which they said was correct, I do not believe it. I think they just created a spreadsheet with the information they wanted to show to get people to purchase their membership fee.

I have today contacted my bank and placed disputes on all transactions with ATM. I fall with the 120 day period. I will post any developments. Thanks for those that are posting.

    • I agree with Mick. I asked if the results were legitimate after about 2 weeks of losses and they said their results were checked by ASIC which would not be true. The number of trades they recommended were way more than the result sheet which basically had no losses and straight away I was making losses. Basically they are a scam and the information has been made up.

Also, if they are a legitimate company, they should provide a cooling off period/refund policy.

I have now made the decision to never provide credit card details over the phone or to someone I don’t know to avoid this ever happening again.

Best of luck with the disputes Mick. I think the more people dispute someone’s account, the more chances they might get shut down too.

  5. I had a phone call from these guys an hour guy and the lady gave the slickest beat up I have heard for a while. 10k for 2 years, nice glossy brochure and a purported strike rate of 66%. You get an account manager to discuss your punting sorry “investment” plus you sign confidentiality agreements that you dont tell anyone else the tips. They have big names within the industry that are so well connected to give the inside info that they would be arrested if the names were released. I was so impressed that I decided to pay quadruple so I can live the high life in my multi million dollar yacht with playboy girlfriends.

  6. Thank you for this information. I too was sucked in a few months ago and have complained several times about poor results.
The asshole that chased me for weeks to get me signed up would not even take my call the minute I signed.
Now I know why they wanted me to give them 6 months to start generating a profit.
I will definitely call my bank first thing tomorrow to call in a scam.
Stay away from these bastard. Filthy bloody liars!!!!!

  7. I was extremely skeptical when a John Travis from ATM was getting me to sign up. It sounded too good to be true and eventually I got roped in.

The minute I signed up, I never heard from John ever again despite my concerns raised about the bets ATM were placing on my behalf which had a 95% loss rate.

Their customer service team looked to have a scripted answer promising that good fortune was just around the corner and they were replacing their so called experts.

I have pulled out and have now got my bank to raise an inquiry into this company.

All I can say is, if you have not signed yet … DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE SCAMMERS !!!!!!

    • Hi Dan – contact your bank immediately if you paid via credit card advising that it is a scam and the goods you have received were not as described. They should put in a dispute claim for you. You can refer to SCAMWATCH website that details Horse Racing Scams etc and they recommend contacting your bank in the first instance. I have since learnt it is the law that telemarketers provide you with a cooling off period/refund policy and as they haven’t they are NOT legitimate.

  16. I see they are now called Select ATM and have a website http://select-atm.com/. To anyone thinking of ‘joining’ , read comments above as they are a SCAM and you won’t receive any returns.

If you have invested recently, I recommend reviewing Scamwatch website, ACCC and contacting your bank advising them are a scam/disputing the transaction to see if they can get your funds back.
